A slice right out of small town America, located on East Main Street in the historic Long Island North Shore village of Oyster Bay, a town that Theodore Roosevelt called Home, sits the quaint ice cream sweet shop, and country store – Gooseberry Grove.
The Gooseberry Grove store itself features a large selection of “homemade” ice creams in both traditional and exclusive flavors like “Thin Mints Swirl”, “Moose Tracks”, and the store’s most popular ice cream “Matt’s Frappe”. Here we also serve ice cream sundaes, floats, shakes, frozen yogurts, soft serve, and yup…even ol’ fashioned New York egg creams. Also available are gourmet fudges, and a large selection of fine chocolates, popular candies, and chewing gums. At the Goose we also serve up some great cups of fresh brewed coffees and in the cooler months we have some of the best “homemade” soups you’ve ever tasted.

The walls around the parlor area are covered with “Ugly Dolls” and “Paws 'n Claws” Bears with an assortment of adorable theme outfits. The parlor area is furnished with intimate board game tables, ice cream chairs, a few vintage video games, a magnificent nickelodeon player piano, and because we can’t keep the 21st century out of our store, we’ve also have a large flat screen television and WI-FI access.
Gooseberry Grove is a great dessert destination and a sensational place to have a small birthday and other special occasion parties. We have several in-store party packages to choose from including a “Fire House Party” that includes a visit to the Atlantic Steamer Fire Company #1 next door, AND “The Make a Teddy Bear” party complete with a selection of adorable animals ready for stuffing and a large selection of outfits, all parties include food, drinks, and of course dessert. Ask for more information on any of our in-store party packages – or – we can also create a custom in-store event to your specifications.
AND what’s so really great about Gooseberry Grove is that our “honkin’ good time” doesn’t end at the door…..we’re one of Long Island’s largest AT YOUR LOCATION party event amusement provider & caterers.
